IPC2U Group announces new gigabit ethernet switches — EDS-726 and EDS-518

Moxa's two new gigabit ethernet switches — EDS-726 and EDS-518, are used for industrial control and automation applications. EtherDeviceTM Switch EDS-726 is a 26-port modular Gigabit managed switch that supports a redundant Gigabit Ethernet Turbo Ring. This highly versatile, high performance switch meets the demands of harsh industrial applications. EtherDeviceTM Switch EDS-518, an 18-port Gigabit managed switch, supports many intelligent network management functions, including QoS, IGMP Snooping/GMRP, VLAN, and IEEE 802.1X.

Network planning is easy and flexible with EDS-726. The modular design lets you install up to 2 Gigabit ports and 24 fast Ethernet ports. Choose from five 1-port Gigabit modules with copper or fiber optic connectors, and eight 4-port Fast Ethernet modules with copper or fiber optic (SC/ST) connectors. EDS-726 is designed with the user in mind. It meets the demands of any industrial application, and also leaves room for future expansion.

Features include a tilted LED display for convenient viewing from any vertical angle, plug-able Compact Flash for configuration back-up, and redundant and intelligent network management.
