IPC2U Group announces a new COM Express module - ETXexpress-IA533

ADLINK Technology Inc., releases the ETXexpress-IA533 , which is a PICMG COM Express compliant Computer on Module that incorporates the latest technology standards based on serial differential signaling, such as Intel's new high speed PCI Express system bus, USB 2.0, SATA, LVDS and Serial DVO. ADLINK is one of the members of the PICMG COM Express sub committee that was responsible for developing this new and exciting open form factor for Computers on Modules. The new form factor's bus and peripheral signals are brought out through two 220-pin board-to-board connectors to allow the addition of an application specific baseboard. The computer on module concept of off-the-shelf cores combined with custom made carrier boards greatly reduces customers' time-to-market, reduces total cost of ownership and allows them to focus on their core competitiveness. The ETXexpress-IA533 supports either internal PCI Express based graphics, or allows for the connection of very high end PCI Express based graphics GPUs, clearly targets for visual applications in Retail, Medical, Test and measurement, Gaming, Infotainment, Industrial Automation, Government and Security markets.

ETXexpress-IA533, is based on the Intel®915GM chipset and supports both Intel® Pentium® M processors at 1.1GHz to 2.1 GHz and Intel® Celeron® M processors at 600 MHz to 1.5 GHz. Both chipset and processor are part of Embedded Intel® Architecture (IA) that demands long production life for applications that need extended availability.
