IPC2U Group announces a new rack-mount internet platform - NAR-2140 from Portwell

NAR-2140 provides four Fast Ethernet ports for networking connection and one MiniPCI slot for the networking Encryption/Decryption & wireless LAN applications. NAR-2140 is not only equipped with 128MB memory for basic operation, but also offers one more memory slot to fulfill the extension demands towards higher memory capacity. On the storage side, besides Flash based storage media such as Compact Flash and DOM, customers could even choose 3.5" IDE HDD as high capacity storage implementation.

The main reason VIA CPU is chosen mostly because of expectation for providing a high C/P value rack-mounted network platform with the basic function plus MiniPCI extension ability or crypto function reinforcement, offering a highly-reliable & fully integrated function rack-mounted appliance platform.
