cPCI-6880 – the new 6U CompactPCI CPU Card with Optional Extended Temperature Range and Rugged Conduction Cooling

IPC2U presents the cPCI-6880 Series of 6U CompactPCI blades. They feature 45nm Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T9400 with 2.53GHz core speed, 6MB L2 cache and 1066MHz FSB with 40W typical total power consumption. The cPCI-6880 is equipped with the latest Mobile Intel GM45 Graphics Memory Controller Hub, supporting dual-channel DDR2-800 SDRAM on one SO-DIMM socket and optional 4GB soldered onboard memory up to a maximum of 8GB.

By its very good proportion between computing performance and power consumption cPCI-6880 is the ideal solution for transportation, military and mission critical applications, with its soldered memory and optional extended operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.

The rugged conduction-cooled card CT-60 with the same electronic design as cPCI-6880 for applications exposed to extreme thermal range, vibration, shock or other stresses will be the, will be available in Q4 of 2009.

The Intel® 45nm Core™2 Duo processor, GM45 Express Chipset and integrated Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD ensure excellent computing performance. Furthermore cPCI-6880 also provides graphics efficiency with a 40% improvement on 3DMark06 score over the previous generation GME965. A DVI-I interface is placed on the front panel and VGA is connected to the Rear Transition Module (RTM). The cPCI-6880 can be operated in a system slot as master or in a peripheral slot (universal mode) to meet compute-density demands.
