NICE 3100 Series Now Supports ATX Mode and DVI Display.

To enhance the remote power management and optimum digital display quality, NEXCOM has modified the NICE 3100 fan-less series to support ATX mode and DVI connection. With the fan-less design, the NICE 3100 series system has a sealed compact yet heavy-duty aluminum enclosure chassis functions as a giant heatsink to keep the system at desired operating temperature . The NICE 3100 series is perfect for compact, reliable, and maintenance-free industrial computing.

The original product design of removing the system fan and vent holes on the chassis eliminates the dust entering into the chassis, and effectively prevents the system failure caused by the dust. Thus, the NICE 3100 series provides great solutions for dusty environment or sealed environment with limited ventilation.

ATX Mode for Remote Power Management

By supporting ATX power mode, the NICE 3100 series is ready for remote power management. For this purpose, the users can wake up, shutdown, or reboot the NICE 3100 series remotely by Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE) or Wake on LAN (WOL). With this convenient feature, administrators can remotely manage, update data and software, and maintain the client systems in the field.

In addition, the NICE 3100 series has a convenient external power switch feature that utilizes the Phoenix Contact with 2-pin connector on the rear I/O. This feature is desired when integrating the NICE 3100 series inside of other chassis or behind the wall. You can extend and mount the ATX power switch at appropriate position of the chassis to power on/off the system.

Digital Display Quality with DVI Connection

The NICE 3100 series features both DVI and VGA connectors on the rear I/O for vivid color display in digital quality. The NICE series supports dual independent display while the DVI interface supports up to 1600 x 1200 pixels; it is ideal for large size LCD screens such as Digital Signage and Information Kiosk.

On-board DC-to-DC Power Supply

The NICE 3100 series has an on-board DC to DC power supply designed for a wide range of power input from +12 to +30 VDC. With the capability of accepting variable power input, the NICE 3100 series is suitable to be integrated in various industrial environments.

PCI Expansion Capability

The NICE 3100 fan-less system is ideal for building automation that requires extreme reliability and versatile I/O configuration. The rugged NICE 3100 fan-less computer system is equipped with dual Ethernet ports for Intranet/Internet connections, the ATX power mode to support PXE/WOL, DVI connection for digital video display quality, and four serial ports (3 x RS232, 1 x RS422/485) to connect various control devices and Programmable Logic Control (PLC).
